The unveiling ceremony of the increase in internalization capacity and the development plan for the TOSAN TECHNO production site with the slogan of “A Production for Iran” was held on Monday, February 10, in the Caspian Industrial City of Qazvin.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Jamshid Ansari, Vice President and Head of Iran’s Administrative and Employment Organization, Dr. Hedayatollah Jamalipour, Governor of Qazvin, Engr. Mohsen Salehinia, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Commerce, and Director of Iran’s Small Industries and Industrial Estates Organization, Engr. Saeed Nabil Head of Industry, Mining, and Commerce of Qazvin Province, Engr. Hamidreza Khanpour, CEO of Qazvin Industrial Estates Company, Dr. Mohammad Mazaheri, CEO of TOSAN TECHNO, Engr. Hamid Hemmati Deputy CEO of TOSAN TECHNO, Managing Directors, and a group of executives, supervisors, and experts of the company, under the pretext of increasing the depth of domestic production from 34% to 53%.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Dr. Mohammad Mazaheri, CEO of TOSAN TECHNO, referred to the well-done work in the field of banking machines and payment terminal: “It is regrettable that second-hand banking machines are brought to our country. These banking machines are very expensive after setup. We have been able to bring the price down with production; this decline in banking machines has been more than the payment terminals. In the banking sector has dropped about 30% and in the payment sector about 24%. We already have 53% of the depth of domestic production in the payment terminals and in the banking machines, we have 58% of the depth of domestic production. Over time, we intend to complete domestic production on payment terminals, including board and electronic and mechanical parts.”
Also, Engr. Hamid Hemmati, Deputy CEO of TOSAN TECHNO, paid attention to the ability to generate more than 400,000 payment terminals, as well as the ability to generate more than 80% of market demand. In the field of banking machines, the ability to produce more than 2000 ATMR per year and the ability to generate more than 50% of market demand by TOSAN TECHNO was highlighted, and TOSAN TECHNO’s experience with nearly two years of production site launch was reviewed.
Furthermore, in this meeting, the guests discussed some concerns of manufacturers. For example, the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration can prevent from entering payment terminals and second-hand banking machines to the country. Also, this organization can create a technical profile for the non-allocation of currency to the traders and trading companies for importing fully products.
The ceremony took place nearly two years after the launch of the TOSAN TECHNO production site, with currently 100 people directly and 350 people indirectly involved in the process of manufacturing banking machines and payment terminals. At the same time, more than 2000 people are operating in TOSAN TECHNO and its affiliated businesses.
